The Ethiopian ICT Development Agency (EICTDA) is currently undertaking different initiatives. Among these, the ICT HRD Strategy and Implementation Plan was the one that studied by consultant firm. The document is at a final draft level and needs experts’ input to be finalized. Inline with this, the agency has organized a one day national workshop in order to enrich the document further. The workshop will bring together scholars and experts in the ICT field. Ethiopic to Latin Transliteration and SoundeX Standard document, which is expected to be an important reference in representing the Characters of Ethiopic Scripts in to Latin Script. The document is at a Draft level and needs experts’ input to be finalized. In line with this, the agency has organized a half day national workshop in order to enrich the document further. The workshop will bring together scholars and experts in the field related to this. It will be held at Ethiopia Hotel on Tuesday June 9, 2009 from 8:30 Am-1:30 PM. 2. Content Digitization Standard, which is expected to be an important reference in digitizing any Audio/Video and text Contents using standardized and interoperable formats at national level. The document is at a Draft level and needs experts’ input to be finalized. In line with this, the agency has organized national workshop in order to enrich the document further. The workshop will bring together scholars and experts in the field related to this. It will be held at Ethiopia Hotel on Monday June 8, 2009 starting from 8:30 Am to 5:00 Pm. ICT Standards Requirement Study for Ethiopia, which is expected to be an important reference in developing different ICT Standards and Legal Frameworks, based on the priority of importance for our ICT initiatives. The document is at a Draft level and needs experts’ input to be finalized. In line with this, the agency has organized a half day Consultative Workshop in order to enrich the document further. The workshop will bring together scholars and experts in the field related to this. The workshop will be held at our Conference Hall on Thursday June 4, 2009 starting from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
