More than 100 women trained by EICTDA
MOre than one hundred women from government offices and NGOs working for and with Women, Youth, People with disability, and farmers were trained on basic computer skill at three different training institution in Addis Ababa, Oromiyaa, and Tigray. Ethio 2000 ICT Exhibition is concluded successfully
Ethio 2000 ICT Exhibition was concluded with more participation in private ICT companies to present their products. The visitors are also large in number. At the end of the exhibition, the Ethiopian ICT Development Agency awarded a participation certificate to all the companies and organizations participated. The event will be organized also next year with more participation from private companies and government offices working in ICT...
FDRE Network Master Plan Workshop
EICTDA conducted a one-day workshop on March 4, 2008 at Global hotel. The workshop was conducted to present and discuss on the prepared first draft document of the ICT Network master plan for 20 federal ministries/agencies. The document is prepared by an Indian company named Telecommunication Consultants India Ltd, (TCIL).
The NOVATECH 2008 conference
The NOVATECH 2008 conference; the ICT African Marketplace, held here in Addis Ababa at ECA conference hall from 13th to 15th February 2008. NOVATECH 2008, the ICT Africa Marketplace is a component of the Pro€Invest program, which is a common initiative of the European Commission (EC) and Institutions from the ACP States (Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific) to stimulate Euro-African cooperation.
